Children's Hair Specialist

Jamesha Bazemore a crafter of children's hair adornments and certified braider tells us a little bit about who she is and what she does:

I love the kinks, coils and twists of natural hair.  I especially love to see children wearing afro puffs and braids adorned with bows and ribbon.  As a certified stylist I specialize in fluffy twists, spring twists, afro puff twists, natural twists, and cornrows but I have a special place in my heart for caring for children’s natural hair, and sharing tips and techniques with mommies and daddies in my classes called “Mommy Can Do and Daddy Can Too!”

I received my braiding certification from Prince George’s Community College in 2006.  Marci and Shawnti Walker the owner’s of Madame Walker’s Braidery and School in Temple Hills, Maryland lead the instruction at PGCC.  I later received certification in advanced braiding and locking at their salon based school.

In conjunction with styling hair I offer my own line of natural products and children’s hair accessories.  The product line includes naturally scented liquid black soap, herbal infused oils and butters (a mixture of shea, aloe and mango), and herbal infused natural detangler.  My product line is called ImaniJoi Naturals.  My handcrafted children’s hair accessories include but are not limited to boutique bows, flower clippies, headbands adorned with bows or flowers, and hair clips.  My products and hair accessories can be purchased at natural hair meetups and events.  Keep your eye out for my products to be offered online very soon.
