Naturalprenuer Tuesdays - 5 Tips When Sending Product Samples to Bloggers or Stylist

Happy Naturalprenuer Tuesday!!

5 Tips When Sending Product Samples to Bloggers/Hair Stylist

I recently discussed this on Nappturalite Radio:
1. Research!
Do your research before you send a product. Be sure to check their blog, website, facebook and/or twitter to better understand their influence. Maybe even visit the salon. Also make sure you understand their audience or clientele.

2. Start communicating with stylist or blogger.
Approach them professionally. Whether by email or in person. Make sure you are professional, you are a representation of your brand.
*With emails, make sure you send info about your brand. Especially website!
*If you use FB or twitter for the initial contact, make sure to get an email or phone number to communicate with them further.
Once communication is in motion:
Set up date and time, to do presentation of product (if a salon/stylist)
Or inform the blogger of when you will ship the item and what they should expect in the shipment.

3. Send your BEST!
Again you are representing YOUR brand. Make sure to include marketing (business cards, literature, etc). Make sure you send bottles that are professional with appropriate, legible labels.

4. Follow Up!
Confirm the shipment has been received. Answer any questions they may have about the product. Set up date and time, to go over the review.
*And this timing will vary. Sometimes I get product that I won’t use for a few weeks after I get it because I may already have a similar product in use.

5. Final follow up!
Go over the review. Whether good or bad, use the feedback as a tool to better your business!!
